Motorsports Art Prints
The purposefulness of the vintage and modern Formula One racing cars has always held a certain beaauty to me. The older F-1 cars like the Lotus, Ferrari and Cooper BRMs were fun to watch because without the aid of modern aerodynamic devices these cars slip, slid and at time laterally flew around the race track, the drivers barely in control. Todays modern Formula one car seemingly defies all law of physics rounding some of the same track at incredible sspeeds, more like aircraft then cars.

All prints are printed on heavy weight paper with fade resistant inks (print production info) and signed by the artist. Prints are shipped in a flat bend proof mailer by First Class Mail for only $3.50 to any US location. Outside US please contact for shipping quote

In his first Grand Prix start of the 1971 season Mario Andretti driving for the Ferrari team qualified fourth on the grid for the South African Grand Prix. Run on the Kyalami circuit Andretti ran in the top six for the first half of the race. As the race was winding down, Andretti began to make his move on the leading McLaren of Denny Hulme. With four laps to go, Andretti had closed to one second behind Hulme. It was during these last four laps that suspension problems hit the McLaren car and Andretti grabbed the lead. When the checkered flag came out, Mario Andretti had won his first of many Grands Prix victories 21 seconds ahead of Jackie Stewart.

The innovative 6 Wheel Tyrell F-1 Car
12"x18" $22.00 + $3.50 shipping

The idea behind Ken Tyrells unusual 6 wheeled Formula One car was to reduce aerodynamic drag by replacing the tall wide front tires with four small tires tucked behind the front bodywork. This car actually worked quite well winning one race and being up in the field on other occasions.
