About 9/11 Truth
As Stephen Colbert of the The Colbert Report said “Face it, folks; we are a divided nation. Not between Democrats and Republicans, or conservatives and liberals, or tops and bottoms. No, we are divided between those who think with their head, and those who know with their heart”.
The 9/11 Truth Movement plays on the emotions of the hearts but keep their heads firmly up their collective asses.
There is a simple logical answer as to what happened on 9/11. A cunning enemy, trained for years and then waited patiently to implement that training. The “conspiracy” was by Al Qaeda. They had the motive, the money and most of all the fanatical fundamentalist religious mindset that made it easy for them to do it.
Was there a cover up. Yes! The Bush administration did not pick up where Clinton left off. They ignored the problem as they worked on ways to cut rich peoples taxes and promote Star Wars. They were supremely over confident and smug that we could not be attacked in this manner and ignored people like Richard Clarke when he desperately tried to get them to listen to him about the danger of fundamentalist Islam.
After the attacks Bush and CO. Made a point of covering their incompetence and what’s worst cynically used the tragedy to justify their desire to get Iraq. Bush used post 9/11 fear as a vote getting ploy, “Vote for me or die”.
But there is another group out there using the tragedy of 9/11. Various so called seeker of truth use 9/11 as a ploy to sell books and videos. Conspiracy Theories sell and sell big, we learned that from the JFK assassination. And some of those same Conspiracy Theorist have jumped on the 9/11 truth bandwagon. Others use 9/11 in a self aggrandizing fashion to make themselves more important.
