Of course if you believe the 9/11 conspiracy theorist, thermite was used to melt core columns in the WTC that were much more massive than then the bodywork of an SUV. Then you have the fact thermite is ill suited for controlled demolition work, burns too slow and requires a very hot ignition source just to get started. That is why it never has been used for controlled demolitions. But because Steve Jones said there was thermite, the 9/11 truth sheeple ate it up and pucked it back out at every opportunity.
Of course when faced with this inconvenient truth that thermite is unusable for controlled demolitions, truthers started to invent imaginary super secret “Nano” thermite. You can get these idiots to believe anything is possible by just using the latest buzz word. It’s not like the type of person who would buy this crap has the gray matter to understand the science of nano technology and it’s limitation. To these simpletons the word is enough, DUDE!!!!! it’s was NANO Thermite!!!! DUDE!.
You are told by the conspiracy hucksters that building seven suffered only minor damage. This news reporters experience paints a very different picture.
9/11 truthers were all atwitter when Steven Jones announced he along with Kevin Ryan, Neils Harritt and Tony Szamboti had gotten a paper accepted in a “Peer Reviewed” science Journal. A first for the conspiracy theorist promoting the idea a super duper double secret nano thermite had brought down the World Trade Center.
Unfortunately debunkers soon pointed out the science journal in question was Bentham Open Journals, a for all intents and purposes a vanity publisher. You pay, they publish. Not exactly a REAL peer reviewed publisher of hard core science information. This did little to get the tin foil hat wearing conspiracy huckster taken seriously by scientist who know what they are talking about.
The dubious quality of Bentham’s peer review process has been brought into clear focus by a graduate student at Cornell University. They got a paper accepted by Bentham that consisted of nothing but computer generated nonsense.
In this section, we discuss existing research into red-black trees, vacuum tubes, and courseware [10]. On a similar note, recent work by Takahashi suggests a methodology for providing robust modalities, but does not offer an implementation [9].
The writers of the paper even dropped a hint of the hoax by giving their institutional affiliation as the Center for Research in Applied Phrenology, or CRAP.
This is not the first time “pay-to-play” journals have been had. The Cornell students withdrew the hoax paper, Why? Because they are students, and Bentham wants $800 to publish.
The 9/11 Truth movement dies a slow but humorous death but does provide a good laugh from time to time.
Jesse Ventura On Fox And Friends still hasn’t figured out why the World Trade Center towers fell. He employes the intellectual cowards ploy of “just asking questions.” Yeah, when you have no real proof, you try and elevate questions to the level of facts.
Yeah, Jesse, we get it, you are not smart enough to understand that the towers didn’t fall at the so called “free fall” rate, hell I tend to believe the man never even heard of the concept of free fall before latching onto the conspiracy theorist hype surrounding 9/11. To this mullet head it’s a buzz word he picked up from a conspiracy site, sound good, but he doesn’t really understand the concept.
Apparently his knowledge of basic physics is even more lacking, or he would know the energy necessary to bring the towers down was always in the buildings in the form of potential gravitational energy. When a shitload of mass falls, it releases lots of pulverizing kinetic energy, no explosives needed. It’s been over 7 years and the 9/11 truth loons still have learned nothing but how to parrot long debunked conspiracy claptrap.
Only in America would we take the ramblings of a former frogman turned wrestler as something that deserves consideration or even election to public office. Maybe if Ventura has all these “Questions” he should talk to a structural engineer with the talent to build skyscrapers, these guys understand the forces involved, you will note they are not the ones asking questions.
Asking stupid questions does not make one a patriot. It only makes you look like a fool.

Task Force Chairman Shirley Dobson said in a statement that she was disappointed in the “lack of participation” by the Obama administration, adding that “at this time in our country’s history, we would hope our President would recognize more fully the importance of prayer.”
Dobson will be a presenter at that event, along with her husband and former president of Focus on the Family James Dobson, author Beth Moore, NFL player Shaun Alexander and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann.
Wait a minute! James Dobson?…. The guy from Focus on the Family? The pandering, homophobic, fear mongering leader of a ultra conservative cult? Dobson who attacked Ed Perlmutter, running in Colorado’s 7th district, for hiring — get this — gay staffers. That James Dobson???
Can you imagine the braying of the Dobson types if the White House decided to take part in a national Pagan Day of Naked Dancing? Animal sacrifice is popular in some religions, lets have the President slaughter a goat for yahweh. How about a national day of flagellation?
As much as I think the Patriot Act is a oxymoronicaly named corrosion of our freedoms, the hysteria over the story of the North Carolina teen supposedly held under the act without legal counsel is proving to be untrue.
FBI agents investigating a February 15 bomb hoax that evacuated the mechanical engineering building at Purdue University traced the phone call to the juvenile’s Oxford, North Carolina home. They served his mother with a search warrant and arrested the teen. He does have an attorney and will get his day in court.
The claim that the boy is a victim of USA PATRIOT, though, appears to have been cut from whole cloth. While there’s plenty to criticize in that post-9/11 law, it doesn’t contain any provision that abrogates a defendant’s right to a trial. It’s also not responsible for making it illegal to phone in a bomb threat. That’s been a federal crime since 1939.
Blogs and talk radio on the left and right have been howling over the original rumor, but strangely quiet now that the story is proving to be over hyped fear mongering. These so called news sources play to the popular conspiratorial viewpoint, people eat up claims of big bad evil men taking away your rights but suddenly become deaf to the real story.
This is one of those stories that when I first heard it set off my bullshit detector. It didn’t sound right, and sure enough the truth is far less ominous than the ballyhoo.
“All hell is going to break lose,” Barry said while speaking to reporters. “We may have a civil war. The black community is just adamant against this.”
The specter of black men and woman protesting the legalizing of gay marriage strikes me as obscene. Maybe they don’t remember that as late as 1967 some of our southern states had laws forbidding interracial marriage.
These bans were supported by many clergy of that time, and they could quote you biblical verse seeming to condemn mixing of the races. The Supreme Court saw fit to drag these backwoods bumpkins into the 20th century.
Here, Let me fix that for you.
What is even weirder is their moral spokesman is Marion Barry who had a short but popular reality TV show, “Toking with Barry” where he smokes crack with his “Girlfriend” and the undercover FBI men. Marion Barry’s administration was plagued by scandals and rumors. His womanizing and partying prowess was legendary. Not exactly a good example of family values.
Said Barry:
“What you’ve got to understand is 98 percent of my constituents are black and we don’t have but a handful of openly gay residents,” Barry said. “Secondly, at least 70 percent of those who express themselves to me about this are opposed to anything dealing with this issue. The ministers think it is a sin, and I have to be sensitive to that.”
Well gee Marion, your race only makes up 10% or so of the American population. If we handed out rights based on popular vote you would still be picking cotton instead of pimping your political standing to a bunch of loud mouth bible bigots.
Propaganda aimed at children is one of the more deplorable aspects of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals PETA. In an earlier post I showed PETA comic books given to kid, explaining to them how “Your Mommy and Daddy Kills Animals”, replete with gruesome illustrations. It makes sense to PETA, children are suckers for this form of scare tactic and they lack the experience to spot the illogical aspects of what PETA is selling.
An informal opinion poll taken with my cats, definitely show cats do not see fish as equals on the evolutionary ladder. No they see them a food, pure and simple. Even a cat knows something PETA does not, fish are not kittens. And most people know kittens are not babies.
What I want to know is why PETA stopped at fish? Why not rats, I would put rats above fish. PETA should have the courage of their convictions and start a movement to stop the killing and poisoning of rats. So what if it will mean increases of diseases. “A Rat is a Dog, is a Baby, is a Boy” Right? Hell, why stop at fish and mammals? We have too long ignored the slaughter of billions of roaches!!!!! And what about our viral friends? Germs have rights too!
Of course what PETA wants you to forget is that fish and animals are an important source of protein for mankind and other animals, in some areas the only viable source. Man never could have evolved as far as he has without it. Picture a PETA kook telling an Eskimo NOT to fish! an island dweller to subsist on wild plants alone. Makes you wonder if PETA thinks at all. Man could not have roamed the Earth to the extent he has without becoming omnivorous. Using animals to process inedible grasses and shrubs into meat and milk was the product of increased intelligence, same with using animals to power transportation and farming equipment.
But PETA have that self hatred you see in many self righteous causes. The idea that animals are just as important as people is pure BULLSHIT!.

Republican lawmakers and prominent conservative media figures slammed President Obama today, accusing him of carrying the swine flu virus back from his recent trip to Mexico and using the ensuing potential health pandemic as a political tool to scare the American public into supporting his health care plan.

I spotted this bit of bullshit while driving around.
To anyone with the least bit of education can easily see where this billboard is dead wrong. It shows a picture of Charles Darwin, a man who while at Cambridge studied Paley’s Natural Theology which made an argument for divine design in nature, explaining adaptation as god acting through laws of nature. Of course his interest in natural history inspired his theory of natural selection, a theory that has proven to be correct in 200 years of research by others in such diverse fields as geology, biology and astronomy. From the age of forty he was, to use his own words, a complete dis-believer in Christianity. He professed himself an agnostic not an atheist. So if you are going pick a man to be the image of the average atheist, Darwin is a rather weak choice, Maybe Benjamin Franklin, Bertrand Russell or Thomas Jefferson would be a better choice. But Christian sure do not want to admit many of the countries founding fathers were not Christians.
And then you have the uninformed idea that evolution is an atheist belief. It ignores the fact there are many religious people out there who accept the biological reality of evolution but believe a god made evolution as a tool for designing man. Even the Pope accepts evolution. So here again Darwin is a stupid choice. Fact is one could be an atheist but not believe in evolution. True not very likely but I can imagine someone out there who thinks man is merely the product of alien experiments and our entire universe exist only in a petri disk in a giant alien laboratory.
You then have the silly idea evolution makes a statement on the issue of existence, it does not. Evolution only makes an observation of the reality that living matter changes over time and that plants and animals, including man, show unmistakable signs of evolving from similar species. The idea of something from nothing is not a biological question, but a cosmological one. Our expanding universe tends to support a Big Bang beginning but makes no statement on what came before, or if time even existed “before”. Science is honest in that regard, saying we may never be able to say what happened at the Big Bang. Religion on the other hand prefers you to buy an intellectual dead end, god did it they says, but ask what came before god and they don’t even want to think about it.
Now imaging if I were to buy a billboard saying “Pull the Plug on Christianity” or “Pull the Plug on Judaism”. I would be accused of promoting religious hatred.
“I do believe sadly it’s going to take some diseases coming back to realize that we need to change and develop vaccines that are safe. If the vaccine companies are not listening to us, it’s their f___ing fault that the diseases are coming back. They’re making a product that’s s___. If you give us a safe vaccine, we’ll use it. It shouldn’t be polio versus autism.”
Jenny McCarthy in Time Magazine, April 2009
WTF!!!!!! So some blond “shit for brains” bimbo can’t accept her child was born with an awful affliction, and want to blame it on modern medical science. AND now she thinks it’s OK for other innocent children to be exposed to easily preventable diseases just to add validity to HER demonetization of actually do something for world besides pose in Playboy.
Hey, never mind the fact there is absolutely no evidence that vaccines cause autism, but plenty of real verifiable proof that vaccinations have almost eliminated cases of Measles, Mumps and Rubella in modern societies.
But she is a celebrity, so what she thinks must be true.
This is one of those little facts you will never hear from conspiracy theorist who promote the idea of a JFK assassination plot. As a young reporter Jim Lehrer was at Love Field that morning, and had asked a secret service agent if the bubble top was going to be removed from the Presidents car. It had been raining, but was now clearing. The agent radioed to find if it was clear downtown as well, so he told others to “Take the bubble top off”.
To me this is far more interesting then any Oliver Stone fairy tail.
