George Follmer 1969 Trans Am Mustang

Companion piece to my painting of the new model Saleen Mustang. This is the Mustang of George Follmer that competed in the 1969 Tans Am racing series.

Plans are to also do a Parnelli Jones version of this print as well.

Lotus 38 1965 Indy 500 Winner

The Lotus 38 was the model number of the car driven by Jimmy Clark at the 1965 Indy 500. By winning the race that year car builder Lotus and Lotus designer Colin Chapman, along with engine builder Ford proved the superiority of a light mid engine car over the heavy front engine roadsters that were common at Indy in the early 60s.

Lorenzo Bandini Ferrari 312 Grand Prix car. The car has a three-liter, three valve, four overhead cam V12. The location of intake and exhaust system traded places, providing this cars most unique and identifiable feature. Because of the incredibly complex, twisting exhaust system, they became known as “Spaghetti Pipes” or “Box of Snakes” .
