Companion piece to my painting of the new model Saleen Mustang. This is the Mustang of Parnelli Jones that competed in the 1970 Tans Am racing series.  In 1970, spectators watched Parnelli in his black striped Grabber Orange Boss 302 Mustang take numerous checkered flags to win the overall championship. This painting shows that car long with the newer 2010 Saleen Mustang reflected in the water below. A version with the new Mustang on top is in the works.

LOL – Wow, I thought I had a (new) idea for a great illustration, and then find your iteration while searching for photo references.

I really like your style, nice work. You capture the vintage very well.

the color was “school bus yellow”,not grabber orange and was, interestingly, a Chrysler truck color. Ford wanted a color that was higher profile.
    Question:
Why is the painting missing the Bud Moore Engineering decal?
What race is this suppose to depict with the decals as illustrated, I’ve never seen these before?
