Nigel Mansell Lotus 95T Print

In the early 80s my home town of Detroit decided to host Formula One racing, it would be run on the downtown streets. Being an active member of the Sports Car Club of America I became involved as a volunteer worker for the race. This was the best way to experience the race and as a pit martial and a grid martial I got very close to the action.

This painting came about from me recently finding a photo I had snapped at the 1985 race, I had forgotten I even had the picture, my duties didn't allow much time for pictures. The picture did spur the memories of the beautiful black and gold team Lotus cars.
