Stein went on a Trinity Broadcasting Network recently and had this to say….

Stein: …Love of God and compassion and empathy leads you to a very glorious place, and science leads you to killing people.

Maybe Mr Stein had not had a chance to notice, that medical science alone has done more to alleviate the suffering of mankind than all the religious and political movements combined. Religion stood in the way of such well founded scientific advances like surgery because it was felt to be defiling god’s temple. The church would block the use of anesthesia because pain was considered punishment from god for some sin man committed.

When it come to barbarism no one hold a candle to religion, not even the Nazis, From christian crusades to muslim jihads killing the heretic seems to be a cornerstone of religious belief.

The illogical nature of Ben’s argument is clear, next thing he will be saying is mathematics is evil because the Nazis also used math to build guns and airplanes.

He plays the part of the insightful thinker but then makes statements that would make the people who brought you the dark ages proud.

And these idiots proudly advertise the fact this old stoner has jumped on bandwagon. Kind of desperate for members I guess.

So this made me think of a new game based on the Celebrity Dead Pool thing where you try and decide which famous person will die next. This would be the “Celebrity Brain Dead Pool”. Which cognitively challenged celebrity will be the next to drink the 9/11 truth Kool aid?

The only way the conspiracy theorist nut jobs can promote their silly ideas about 9/11 being an inside job is basically to lie….. And the best way to lie is to “Quote Mine”. Take witness testimony and deliberately clip out the parts of what they said to make it more inline with the hypothesis you are trying to sell.

Mike Walters, a USA Today reporter who witnessed the plane crashing into the Pentagon tells how his story was deliberately taken out of context by the “truth” people.

The 9/11 Truth movement is dying, people are realizing the utter bankruptcy of these morons in black and truthers are fast becoming nothing but fodder for jokes. But there is certainly no lack of silly ideas floating around in the American tableau.

When it comes to overt stupidity few can match the 9/11 truth community, but their brothers in anti science nonsense, the creationist. You have no doubt been hearing a lot about a movie called “Expelled” staring Ben Stein. Another one of those “conspiracy” movies, unlike the plethora of 9/11 conspiracy movies this one claims the big bad scientific community conspired to keep Intelligent Design out of the classroom and are keeping the “truth” of creation from the general public. The idea a group of people would take the word of an economist like Stein on biological science is just as loony as thuthers believing the insights of a theologian like David Ray Griffin on the subject of structural engineering.

Few don’t know this movie had a working title called “Crossroads” and the producer Mark Mathis went as far as to create a production company with it’s own web site to hide the fact the film was going to be a hit piece on evolution. Using the Crossroads title producers started interviewing leading scientist, well that is until word got out that “Crossroads” was actually going to be Premise Media’s ” Expelled”. Wow, Odd behavior for people who claim to be honest god fearing Christians, right? Nearly all the scientists who appear in Expelled including PZ Meyers, Richard Dawkins, Eugenie Scott and Michael Shermer say they were misled from the beginning about the subject of the film.

The film started to show up at test showing, with most of the tickets being distributed through various religious/creationist organizations. You would think that being in the film would guarantee one an invite but many of the scientist who were now in the film were NOT invited, you could say the were “Pre-Expelled”. This came to a rather comical head in what has been called the “Good Friday Fiasco”. PZ Myers found out where invites to the test screenings could be had and requested tickets to a showing of the film, and he did receives the invites for himself and his guest, BUT, while standing in line to get in he was asked to leave! Well PZ certainly DID see the humor in this! and being one of the country’s most popular bloggers he got out his laptop, found a Wi-Fi connection and stared to blog about being Expelled from Expelled. right then and there while the movie was screened.

BUT… and this is the good part… one of Myers’s guest was none other than British ethologist, evolutionary biologist, popular science writer and Oxford Professor Richard Dawkins. He was allowed into the movie. Word is that producer Mark Mathis turned rather pail when Dawkins stood up to ask his questions during a question and answer session. The creationist are now trying to claim that by using his real name Clinton Richard Dawkins he was deliberately deceitful. Oh the irony.

The only saving grace of the 9/11 conspiracy theorist nut jobs is they’re great fodder for jokes and ridicule. For years any joke dealing with the subject of 9/11 was far too close to a sore spot, but the American people have a wonderful way of finding humor in even the worst tragedy.

Enter the 9/11 Truth movement. You can’t help but laugh when the clown car of 9/11 truth pulls up and out spills the looniest bunch of Bozos you have ever seen, festooned in black Inside Job t-shirts, and shouting “Free Fall”. And for a real laugh look at the “Space Beam Weapon” crowd.
